TNH Properties is operated by Troy Hardister, a sole proprietor who manages residential rental properties in Indiana (“TNH Properties,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what information we collect from prospective tenants, tenants, and visitors to tnhproperties.com, and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Contact details you give us when you inquire about a rental, either directly or through a listing site such as Zillow, Realtor.com, Rent.com or RentalSource: your name, phone number, email address and message.
- Rental screening information you share in conversation or on our rental application: desired move-in date, household size, income, rental history, pets, and similar details. Information on the written application, including identification and background or credit checks, is handled through our property management system, Rentec Direct.
- Communications with us by phone, text message and email, including calls with our automated leasing assistant, which may be recorded and transcribed.
How we use your information
- To respond to your rental inquiry, answer your questions, schedule tours or screening calls, and process your application.
- To manage your lease, rent payments and maintenance requests if you become a tenant.
- To meet legal and fair housing obligations.
Text messaging (SMS)
If you provide your mobile number, we may text you about your rental inquiry or tenancy. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Mobile numbers and SMS consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers who help us operate, such as our property management, phone and messaging, and screening providers, and only for the purposes above. We may also share it when required by law. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and security
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as the law requires, and we use reasonable safeguards to protect it.
Your choices
You can ask us to update or delete your information, or stop contacting you, at any time.
